Hi everyone, I am  excited about our newest scent at Wick-edly Sent.  Pomegranate & Sage is a great addition  to our line of soy candles, bath & body and olive oil soap.  This sweet pomegranate is paired wonderfully with botanical sage and a hint of tropical fern.   Stop in a say hello and pick up our newest addition!   Remember that our Scent of the Month is 25% off!

We’ve decided to expand our reed diffusers in many more scents to choose from. From the get go, they’ve become a great seller and more people have asked if would introduce new scents. For those who are unfamilair, reed diffusers work just like candles, except there is no flame, no worries, just drop the reed sticks in their base and call it a day. There are many fine points to this concept, you can use them anywhere, closet, outside, bathroom, living room, kitchen, etc. However, the safety of not lighting a flame is also a great benefit. Need to buy a gift for your an aging loved one in a nursing home, or how about something in your young daughter’s room to keep it “fresh” smelling, reed diffusers are the ticket.

New Scents

Some of the new scents are best selling soy candles already: there is Lilac, Bergamot and Mandarin (used to reduce stress and anxiety), the familiar Lavender, Apricot Vanilla, Rain, Lotus Blossom, and Jasmine and Waterlily. There is also Woods and Spice, an earthy woodsy scent, plus Sunflower, which is quickly becoming a regular. Look for new fall and holiday scents coming soon.

New Design

Our new French Square bottle is great looking and more efficient too, with a wider mouth opening that lets the scent flow more smoothly. Plus our labels now show pics, colors, and don’t worry, they still come wrapped in a box with a raffia bow, so gift giving is easy as ever. Even if it’s a gift for yourself.

Yes it is true that Don and I get out of our building every once and awhile.  Last night we went to CMAC and  saw Kathy Griffin.  Now those of you who really know us, it was not all pleasure we did pass out Downtown Canandaigua Merchant Brochures along with business information.  It was a beautiful evening leading up to the concert, we got to see several of our customers and friends.  The storm last night can only be blamed on KG talking about Oprah.

Of course, she reminded us several times that she won an Emmy, and was very happy to perform in Canandaigua, NY.

Another week as has passed and we are getting closer to September.  Here at Wick-edly Sent we have already started production on our richly scented soy candles in our Fall scents.  New this Fall will be Autumn Leaves a combination of apple, orange, cranberry and wood.  This candle is a keeper!  If there is a scent that you think might be a hit, drop us a line!  Look forward to seeing you either in the store or online.

With the arrival of long hot days of August, Wick-edly Sent is at the rescue with our new Scent of the Month Grapefruit Mimosa! Grapefruit is a bright, fresh, cooling fragrance. Great for cellulites, dull skin, toxin build up, and water retention. Mimosa is light, subtly sweet, and very fragrant. Together these scents make a wonderful refreshing combination! We are also offering this scent in our soy jar candle and remember, 25 % off all scent of the month products. I was out today and saw a beautiful Lilac bush in someones yard and it made me smile. Gone are the cold dreary winter days and cheers to warm Spring days and cool nights. With May’s arrival we have rolled out our Scent of the Month and of course it is Lilac. Available in our truly wonderful perfume and richly scented soy candles, both 12 oz or travel tins. Wick-edly Sent and Cinderella’s Shoes and Bags is hosting our 4th Annual Girls Night Out on Thursday, April 24th from 5 pm t 9 pm. This year we have teamed up with Wild Women to raise funds to fight Domestic Violence in Ontario County. Get your friends, co-workers and plan on attending this wild evening of fun and suprises! We’ll have munchies, wine tastings, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle! This year is going to be WILD!

April Showers bring May Flowers……Spring is here and it’s time that we start working in our gardens. Remember each hour of effort you put forth will reward you, your family, and your neighbors with many hours of enjoyment. Gardening is a lot of hard work, but it is enjoyable work and a labor of love. Stress melts away like the snow when you touch the earth and that is what I call Gardener’s Therapy.
